When I take a look at my recent pictures, I feel a little strange inside. I used to have a couple of dresses I'd ALWAYS wear because there was nothing else I could fit and afford. I used to always be clad in black. Black was my favourite colour. Probably cus I could hide the figure I had always been so self conscious about and cus black never gets dirty, 

We all know that black is such a safe colour. In fact, too safe. It doesn't allow you to stand out, it supposedly exudes sophistication and it also screams.... BORING!!!

So what's more interesting than an ordinary black top?

I'm addicted. I confess. 

I'm an #onlineshopaholic. 

At nights when I can't seem to sleep, I go to www.asos.com and click "Add To Cart". It instantly makes me happy. single. time. When I come back after a long rough week and I receive my order (insert #happyparcelday), it puts a smile on my face. 

But recently, due to the rise of online scams, read this, this and this, I've been a little wary about where I shop online. I normally don't go for blogshops that only accepts payment via bank transfers or online banking unless I really trust the seller but other than that, I normally go for online sites that accept payment by credit/debit cards and those that I'm familiar with like Asos. Check out my collection of apparels from Asos. This is not the full album, about 80% of my wardrobe essentials are from them. Asos' service is not bad until a recent encounter that disappointed me, but they've since refunded my money, given me a 10% discount (Hi team Asos, if you're reading this, how about 50% next time?) and Express delivery so it's all good now.

One of my most favourite buys from Asos has got to be this faux leather skirt. I think you ladies would agree with me that it's really difficult to get anything that looks like leather for plus sized girls. I purchased this Baroque dress (it's not a shirt by the way. It's a dress I wore as a top!) which had gold foil prints from Asos as well.

Houndstooth Prints in Monochrome or Colour?

As you can see, I'm trying to experiment with with different prints. One of the key prints this Fall, is the houndstooth print. The traditional black and white prints makes it easy to pair the prints with any colour, which includes a bold red lip colour which. This dress is probably one of the most expensive dresses I've bought so far. Retails at $77 from Asos and is a birthday present from my parents!

Wore this outfit to my visit to Pondok Gurame at Changi. Will share more about the food there soon, I think. Still thinking whether they deserve any publicity at all for their mediocre food and horrible service. 

Anyway, wanted to share more apparels with the Houndstooth prints. Totally love it in colour! It's not actually a new trend, but you know how every now and then a trend returns? This isone of those trends. I thought Lady Gaga looked pretty hot in the prints, especially the shades so I included a picture of her too.

Finally.... The Big 2 Zero.

It is the first year I'm celebrating my birthday as a working adult. Gosh. Even the word adult still feels a little awkward for me at the moment. Let's hope I get used to it really soon. Today felt really nice. 

At 1am, I received a phone call all the way from Phuket wishing me a happy birthday. 

At 5.30am..... *Mum peeps into room and sneaks in* 

After 5 seconds, she pretends to look around my room suspiciously. 

I was half awake, so I asked her what she is trying to do.
"Oh, just looking at your messy room..... Happy Birthday!! Sleep, sleep!" 

I didn't put into much thought on why she was acting weirdly, so I went back to sleep. Turns out, she sneaked into my room to place this birthday card on my bed. Thank you for the card and paying for my latest shopping haul from Asos! So excited to receive everything!!

At work, my colleagues surprised me too! Thank you ladies. You're the best!

2 decades of being alive. Funny thought!

Thank you for the well wishes everybody. Will be replying to every single Facebook message, tweet, text, whatsapp and email very soon. It's nice to feel extra special on my birthday. Last week, I gave my family a treat at a new yummy food place. Will be blogging about it soon. Also, I'm looking forward to the weekends because I have some pretty exciting plans.
