FASHION HACK 101: Mix and match outfits to create new looks.

Check out this look I created. This lace top I wore is actually a dress I bought from Kaylene in 2012. I wore it once for Cosmopolitan and Style magazine's Anniversary party and didn't wear it ever since until this look I created for my Hari Raya visiting part 67282991. Should try to wear this dress more often!

I was supposed to wear 3 gold brooches but one of them broke, so I had to make do with the silver one. Outfit looked a little mismatched with strong colours like Silver and Gold, but it's alright. As long as I like my outfit, nothing else really matters, no? :)

Inhale Confidence, Exhale Doubt

When I take a look at my recent pictures, I feel a little strange inside. I used to have a couple of dresses I'd ALWAYS wear because there was nothing else I could fit and afford. I used to always be clad in black. Black was my favourite colour. Probably cus I could hide the figure I had always been so self conscious about and cus black never gets dirty, 

We all know that black is such a safe colour. In fact, too safe. It doesn't allow you to stand out, it supposedly exudes sophistication and it also screams.... BORING!!!

So what's more interesting than an ordinary black top?

Black top with SPIKES, of course!!! This is my current favourite top :P

The Launch Of York.sg | The E - Shopping Site Of York Boutique Modelled By Yours Truly

While I was growing up, I had a tough time looking for clothes to wear. I had a couple of "key pieces" that I would wear over and over again. Other than that, I didn't have other nice clothes to wear. That was until I discovered York Boutique when I was 14 which was previously located at Eastpoint Mall in Simei. Then, I bought diffrent kinds of basics from them. My blazer, jeans, denim skirt, leggings, formal dresses and many more. 

The company started out more than 20 years ago selling both clothes of small size to plus sized clothes. From year 2009 onwards, the team decided to focus on plus sized clothings. 

I remember feeling elated when I bought my first pair of jeans, denim skirt and dresses from York. York gave me a new sense of hope, I could wear prettier clothes after all. From my experience, I can be honest enough to tell you that their clothes are of very good quality. In fact, I still have some apparels I bought from them like 10 years ago in my closet. Still like brand new! It's quite amazing la. 

Fast forward 2 months ago, the York team contacted me and asked me if I would be interested to take on a modelling assignment for their new online store. Jumped straight at the opportunity and here are some photos!

Plus Sized Label FLOW, Suitable For Every CURVILISTA!

Finally checked out the FLOW counter at Isetan Scotts and I am extremely impressed by the collections. Love the designs made of bold prints and patterns. Read on to find out more about my experience with FLOW!

Just take the escalator up to level 2 of Isetan Scotts and you’ll definitely see the FLOW counter!

The best part about it is that not only does FLOW sell apparels, but they also have their very own line of accessories!

Moving to the apparels I tried when I was at Isetan Scotts!

Jaw Drop…. I love this Embellished Chiffon Batwing Top in Turqoise. I keep thinking about how comfortable it is and how the colour is so striking. Should I go back to the FLOW counter at Isetan Scotts to get this?

How can anyone not fall in love with this????

Fell in love with this Abstract Print Jersey Faux Wrapped Dress because of the vibrant colours. I think I know when I should wear this! When I need a “PERK ME UP OUTFIT” to cheer myself up after a bad week, maybe?!

Ah….. I love this Leopard Print Jersey Skirt. 

Check out how a top can make a difference in how your overall outfit will look like. Left – probably suitable for me to wear when meeting new clients or attending business meetings and right – probably a chill night out with my girls! I think pencil skirts look great on curvy girls, so ignore the naysayers, girlfriends.

Also, I still get emails from readers saying that they are afraid to try wearing bright colours and would prefer to stick to muted colours. I hope that this post will show you that, fashion rules are meant to be broken! If I can do it, so can you!!
