Hari Raya Never Ends

FASHION HACK 101: Mix and match outfits to create new looks.

Check out this look I created. This lace top I wore is actually a dress I bought from Kaylene in 2012. I wore it once for Cosmopolitan and Style magazine's Anniversary party and didn't wear it ever since until this look I created for my Hari Raya visiting part 67282991. Should try to wear this dress more often!

😍

That's all for now. Stay beautiful and stay strong! 💪

Siapa Bilang Gadis Melayu Tak Menawan?

Sunday, July 19, 2015 / , , , , ,

MynameisQUE;

Time of the year again. Eid Mubarak to my fellow Muslim readers! :)

Outfit Of The Day
Kebaya Top & Skirt: Awrah Femina

I was supposed to wear 3 gold brooches but one of them broke, so I had to make do with the silver one. Outfit looked a little mismatched with strong colours like Silver and Gold, but it's alright. As long as I like my outfit, nothing else really matters, no? :)

Till we meet again.

MynameisQUE;

It's the time of the year again - Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri everyone.

This year, I made very minimal preparations for this year's celebration. 2014 has not been a fantastic year so I didn't really feel like going all out. In fact, I only purchased my Hari Raya outfits yesterday. I headed down to Sue Tariq's place to check out her collections.

Outfit Of The Day
Earrings from Diva
X'clusive Nina Kimono from Sue Tariq
Heart Tag Bracelet from Tiffany & Co
Pink patent bag from Kate Spade

"Tahun ni I takya masak Ayam Masak Merah cus abang, you make my pipi sooo merah!" #rayapickuplines

How's the first day of your Hari Raya celebrations?

Anyway, if you don't already know I went for lazer treatment at ClearSK Medi-Aesthetics on Saturday. Am so glad that I could wear my make up happily today because there's no down time at all after the treatment. I really thought I'd be making my visiting rounds with horrible looking skin as an effect of the treatment. :P I'll share with you guys more about this soon. Promise!!!!

Of Peplum Tops & Mermaid Skirts

MynameisQUE;

Outfit Of The Day
Polaroid Eyewear
Peplum Blue Top With Mesh and Necklace details
Black Mermaid Skirt

A couple of weeks ago, I got to know the owner of We Besar and chatted over Facebook with her. The owner shared with me that she is a single mother of 4 young children. She started her online business to support her family but business does not seem to doing well. Her story tugged at my heartstrings I thought I'd give her some support by giving her some publicity in hopes that you will support her too.

The peplum top worn by me in the picture below is an apparel from her CurvyMe label, designed and manufactured for the owner herself. No make up day because my face is still recovering from my first treatment at ClearSK Medi - Aesthetics yesterday. Will share with you my progress soon!

We Besar also sells various corsets for plus size women at an affordable price.

Enjoy free shipping islandwide (registered mail) by quoting my name "RynaQUE"!

Alternatively, add her up here and check out her albums.

Fatshionista: Back To Black

Sunday, August 11, 2013 / , , , , , , ,

MynameisQUE;

It's disappointing when adults act like little children and fuss about the petty little things in life. It's disappointing to know that the person(s) you respect/love/care about when you were young turn out to real @#%^&&*()^$#@.

Moving on.....

Check out my dad doing his tai chee at the back of these series of photos!

Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2012

Sunday, August 19, 2012 /

MynameisQUE;

There goes the fasting month. Time flies, doesn't it? Well, a few months ago, I dyed and highlighted my hair since all my black roots were already showing. I decided to buy some coupon from Groupon and went to some random saloon to do it. The results weren't fantastic. I don't know what exactly went wrong, whether it was my instructions or was it the dye itself. I walked around for the whole month looking really weird. Not sure if it still looks weird now, but I think it's much better than when I first dyed it?

Well, lesson learnt. Groupon coupons might be cheap, but you might know get the exact results you want. Well, my next hair colour would either be something reddish or perhaps going wild with ombre? Hmm... We'll see.

Hari Raya is definitely one of my favourite occasions. I love how we'd all dress up and look all pretty in our outfits. This year, for the first day I wore a Jalabiya from Tha Runway by Nur'ain. This beautiful piece was featured in a Hari Raya spread on Sutra magazine, so I quickly contacted the owner and placed an order for myself. It is tailor made and unfortunately expensive because of its exclusivity.

Oh well, that's my splurge of the month, alright.

Hope you had a great celebration too. To all my readers, blogger and PR friends, here's wishing you a blessed Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf zahir dan batin!

Make up by Nur'ain.

A few weeks ago, I browsed through Sutra and found an exclusively designed Jalabiya by Tha Runway and contacted the Nur' Ain straight away. Ordered one for myself. Can't wait to collect it next weekend! She also does make up services. :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Hari Raya season is almost here again.

Hari Raya is a special occasion to me. I like the idea of visiting my relatives, wearing our traditional Malay costumes and not forgetting the yummy Hari Raya goodies! The atmosphere of the Hari Raya season is very different as compared to normal days. Here's a picture of my friends and I playing with bunga api.

I'm sure many of you are starting to look for a place to order your Hari Raya goodies!

The kind souls from Ume's Delights sent me a generous amount goodies for me to try out last weekend. I also brought some cake samples to work for my colleagues to try!

From clockwise: Kek Lapis Prune, Kek Kukus, Kek Lapis Rempah and Kek Lapis Blueberry

Kek Lapis Rempah | $40

Kek Lapis Prune | $40

Kek Lapis Blueberry | $40

Kek Kukus | $22

Kuih Tart & Kuih Makmur | $19, $18 respectively

I found all the 4 cakes extremely delicious. One thing I really liked was the fact that the cakes were moist and not dry unlike the others I have tried. Not sure whether you've probably heard of Deli Maslina? My family used to order our cakes from them. However, over the years, the quality of cakes have deteriorated and it is now pretty overpriced so I've decided that it is perhaps time to order from someone else. My mum also agrees that the Kek Lapis Rempah from Ume's delights is the best that she has ever tasted. Did you know that their cakes are freshly baked using SCS butter? Really glad I tried the cakes from Ume's Delights before ordering from anyone else. I've informed them that I will be ordering 1 Hari Raya Set for my family!

Hari Raya Set from Ume's Delight consists of;

Kek Lapis Prune
Kek Kukus
1 Bottle of Kuih Tart (50pcs)
1 Bottle of Kuih Makmur (37pcs)

The set will cost $89 which I thought is a pretty good buy!

Here are our interns Megan and Cherie trying out the cakes from Ume's Delights.
Cherie and I really love the Blueberry Kek Lapis.

Things you're definitely interested to know.
