MATCHMOVE WALLET GIVEAWAY: Confessions of a #Onlineshopaholic....

Monday, May 26, 2014 / , , , , , , , , , ,

MynameisQUE;

(Don't miss the MatchMove Wallet/Asos credit giveaway at the end of this post!)

I'm addicted. I confess.
I'm an #onlineshopaholic.

At nights when I can't seem to sleep, I go to www.asos.com and click "Add To Cart". It instantly makes me happy. single. time. When I come back after a long rough week and I receive my order (insert #happyparcelday), it puts a smile on my face.

But recently, due to the rise of online scams, read this, this and this, I've been a little wary about where I shop online. I normally don't go for blogshops that only accepts payment via bank transfers or online banking unless I really trust the seller but other than that, I normally go for online sites that accept payment by credit/debit cards and those that I'm familiar with like Asos. Check out my collection of apparels from Asos. This is not the full album, about 80% of my wardrobe essentials are from them. Asos' service is not bad until a recent encounter that disappointed me, but they've since refunded my money, given me a 10% discount (Hi team Asos, if you're reading this, how about 50% next time?) and Express delivery so it's all good now.

Check out my apparels from Asos.

I have a couple of readers telling me that they can't shop on sites Asos because they don't own a credit/debit card, so I finally found a solution for you. Safe, easy, fast - what more can you ask for?

You're going to love me for this!

Sawadee Kap from Bangkok! - Hotel and Shopping

MynameisQUE;

2 weeks ago, my family and I headed to Bangkok for a short holiday. This time, no pictures of camwhoring of OFTDs because I was having an eye infection caused by long working hours, tired, dry eyes and infected contact lenses so I wasn't in the mood to dress up with my eyes looking like crap.

:) Just an introductory post to my favourite hotel which is connected to one of the biggest shopping mall, in Bangkok, Mabunkrong also known as MBK.

Level 1 and 2 are connected to Pathumwan Princess Hotel.

The last time we visited Bangkok as a family was probably 5 years ago. Yikes!

Also, check out the transparent toilet window?!
The hotel probably went through a face lift recently. Don't worry, there are blinds in the toilet.

Top 5 Reasons Why I Love MBK

5. Pathumwan Princess Hotel is connected to MBK Center - it is one of the biggest malls in Bangkok

4. MBK Centre is connected to National Stadium Sky Train Station.
Talk about being super duper convenient!!!!

3. 7 floors Of Goodness
Seriously, the mall is filled with more than 200 stalls selling T - shirts, souvenirs, jeans, bags, shoes etc.

2. A total of 4 stalls and 1 restaurant selling HALAL food

1. Plus sized ladies, if you've been finding it hard to find good lingerie that fit you well, you'll be happy to know that MBK's in house departmental store, Tokyu stocks bigger and slightly cheaper bras for us! Yay!!!

For plus sized men, you might want to check out the 6th floor of MBK.
There are stalls selling shirts and shoes in bigger sizes. :)

Check out these shirts which were sold at around $10-$15.
I saw the exact same shirts selling at Downtown East at $25 each!

That's all folks. Bangkok is a seriously a shopping paradise.
So, who else is heading to Bangkok? Also, interested to find out where you can get plus sized clothes for ladies in Bangkok? Keep your eyes peeled on my blog - www.rynaque.sg and spread the word about my new site! :)

Live Update: Day 2 in Bandung!

Monday, March 12, 2012 / , , , , , , , ,

MynameisQUE;

We're done with Day 2 of my Bandung trip. Finally back in the hotel after a whole day of walking, eating and shopping. I did quite a bit of shopping. Kinda unexpected because I normally can't buy much anyway cus the countries I normally go to do not have plus sized clothes. But here in Bandung, Indonesia, I found quite a few good buys. Then again, it's not really easy to find and + there isn't a huge variety, but it's definitely cheaper than the clothes you'll find in Singapore. Spent about $150 SGD already. I also bought 3 white Hermes Polo Ts for work on Friday. ORIGINAL OKAY. Hahahahaha kthxbai :>

Will share with you the stuff I got really soon! Happy holidays everyone!!

I survived my first month of internship! So, it's pampering time!!

Monday, December 26, 2011 / , , ,

MynameisQUE;
<Not a sponsored/paid post>

I keep reminding myself to update this space but it's been really hard. The moment i reach home, i'll be too tired to even face the laptop. I've worked so hard this year on this blog, (if you haven't noticed)  i can't just let it go to waste. I've been having internship for about a month now and I'm thankful for this opportunity. I have the nicest colleagues and bosses. So far, everything's going fine and i haven't gotten into trouble. (Choy!)

Really counting on this internship to determine what i'll do after i graduate. I have 3 choices for now. 1 of them is an offer to work at an events management company. Someone has offered to groom me into an events planner. Sidetrack, i've also been offered to write for Waves magazine by Manisha which I probably am gonna take up next year since it's just a freelance thing. I am thankful for the offers. However,  I'll need to think carefully as it concerns my future. I've been doing too much thinking, my head hurts so let's save the thinking for another time!! T.T"

 Time to share with you a pampering session i had with my bestfriend at Bonafides, Centrepoint. She's been complaining about backaches and i stumbled upon a good offer on a fellow blogger's blog so I decided to book an appointment for 2 on the eve of Christmas! 1 person -$38, bring a friend and it'll cost you $60 altogether.
Great deal right?

I should have requested for a couple room so that we could have the massage in the same room together. (not that my bff and i are together or something. We're completely straight!) just that it's my first time and i felt really nervous man, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

The lady sent me to this room and she didn't tell me that i was supposed to take off my clothes. Haiya, i thought she would give me instructions but I was wrong. So.... Silly me just sat in 1 corner and used my iphone tweeting/fb-ing since i was alone in the room. #foreveralone i know. Then after 10 minutes, she checked back and was shocked to see me....... Fully clothed.

 LOL i told her that i didn't know what to do and we giggled. Hahahhahaha her vocab was pretty limited so she showed me the disposable underwear and said something, something "pi ku". And then i said, "ah... Panties?" and she nodded. Thank god i understand simple mandarin. Hahahhahha my chinese friends in secondary school thought me this,"Ni de pi ku hen da".

Sorry, i don't know how exactly you write that in hanyu pin yin but that just means that "Your butt is very big". Hahahhahhaha sigh..... See what my friends have done to me.

So yes, back to the massage. Despite her limited vocab, she still made an effort to converse with me and that's what I honestly like about the service. Most of the staff at Bonafides aren't english speaking. The masseusse is from China and she's been here for 10 years. You don't have to possess A plus english. As long as you make the effort to converse (and not keep quiet) + serve your customers with a smile, it's already good service. :) thank you Bonafides for the good service and shiok massage.

Here's the lucky lady who got to massage me. Ahahhahahahhahaa please, she's really lucky because other than my mum, no other lucky lady have seen me butt naked. :P

Anyway, this was what we were served after the massage. It's called Ginko? I think. Tastes damn good and refreshing!

Anyway, Bonifides provides a wide range of service from massages, manicure, pedicure and even hair pampering services!

Here's my bff and me after the session! We're thinking of going back again but this time for hair treatment but we're still surveying the different alternatives. My hair really needs some pampering!!

Then after that we went to H&M to do some shopping. Haha bought some stuff, shall show you guys in another post! I bought mostly accessories. They don't sell UK 20-22 at H&M, so don't bother looking if you're my size. Even accesories wise, there isn't much variety. I'd choose to buy stuff from F21 any day but since I had a $100 gift card which i got from a blogger's event, might as well i make full use of it.

Almost purchased this hat. But.... Haha nah...

Bff is obsessed with cropped tops. LOL

Here's a skater dress.

I actually dislike this picture alot but I'm too lazy to take a new one. I hate how my smile doesn't seem genuine. Haiya. Need to remind self to smile sincerely.

I thought this bag was not bad. Simple and eyecatching.

Well anyway, it looks like I'm ending 2011 with a big bang this year. Quite excited because things are going very well for me. (And this blog!) <3

Much loves,

Looking for an Instax Camera? I got it for $95 ONLY!

Friday, September 30, 2011 / , , ,

MynameisQUE;

So... Suddenly EVERYONE is interested in Photography. Everybody suddenly started to buy some lomo camera, some holgas and then... my bestfriend wanted to get Instax camera for her birthday too. >.<

WE GOT THIS FOR FREAKING $95 ONLY.

I know some of you tried surfing the net, apparently some blogshops are cheaper, even GMarket is cheaper.
BUT THE PLACE I BOUGHT FROM STILL HAS THE BEST PRICE!!!

Instax Mini 7s Camera: $95
1 box of instax film: $12
Mickey mouse mirror thingy: $10.

(Actually usual price of the mirror thing is $12 I think, but because my friend wanted the pink one and the display set was the last piece, he sold it to us at $10!!!)

Well, our birthdays are only a few days apart. So this year, she wanted me to get her instax camera and then she got me like 3 outerwears for me to wear! Bff with her early present. (It isn't her bday yet!)

We got it from.....

Peninsula Plaza's The Camera Workshop shop!!
First floor of Penin and it's a super big shop.

Since you all wanted to know where I got it from, I recommended it to you all already ah. Don't say I never share good things. They always say, sharing is caring. RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT? There! Share already! :D

If let's say, you're thinking of going there.... And they try to charge you more than that, then it's time to SWITCH ON YOUR BARGAINING AUNTY PERSONA.

If you're the shy kind then too bad, you might not get a good price but to me when it comes to shopping, as long as you're the customer and you're the one paying money, you should always try to be very friendly and sing praises to the person so that you can things at a cheaper price. :P

The guy who served us was this guy.
Shuai ge, right? Hahahahaha. Yes, I always use this trick when bargaining. I'll say to the uncle that he's very shuai that day. Or if it's an aunty, I'll say, "Aunty, you chiobu you know.... Discount lah..." Hehehe.
Tricks and traits of bargaining. ;)

Oh and if let's say they try to charge you more that what I paid, just say,
"Uncle, this shop my friend recommend to me you know. Her name is Ryna. The fat fat one. *Show my pic and this post on your iphone* See... That's why I come here because she say your service very good. Give me a good price lah shuai ge...."

So this is it!

Actually when it all adds up, everything was supposed to be $117 but I asked for a $2 discount using the method I taught you and we paid only $115!!

$115 FOR ALL THIS?
SUCH A STEAL!!!

Hahahahaha I hope my post tickled your toes. Go get your instax cameras now!!

Xoxo,
RynaQUE

People who say that money can't buy you happiness didn't know where to shop.

I even saw a secondary school girl wearing it!

Do you know that you can even personalise your Longchamp?
