Rintihan seorang remaja Melayu...

Friday, December 17, 2010 / , ,

MynameisQUE;

This post will be in Malay.

Photobucket

Kerana inilah rintihan seorang remaja Melayu.

The art of being contented...

Sunday, December 12, 2010 / ,

Just finished talking on the phone with Syahmi and just had to blog about this.
So annoying! After he reads this post he would then claim credit saying
I had inspiration to blog only because I was otp with hin! Such an idiot!
Nah, you can claim your credit uh. But nothing in return. Sorry Mimi!! :P

Well, Mimi was complaining to me about his work and
how much he loves his gf. (a.k.a bike) Ya, ya i roll my eyes every single time
because I'm not really into motorcycles. How many times have i repeated this?
To him, its like i discriminate bikers. Wtf no. I just don't fancy bikes!
I'm not like the other girls who'll like a guy just because he has his own transport. Pfft!

Ok back to my story.. After he complained to me about how he absolutely hates public transport.
He has a bike but on top of schooling, he has to work to pay for the insurance, petrol and all that.
Then, told him about Adam. A guy, who is actually in the same school as Mimi.
Republic polytechnic to be exact. Where the hot guys and girls are.
There are in the same school so I can't help but to compare them. Lame, i know.
Apparently, they share the same academic blocks of something, but
they don't say HI to each other. WTF.

Both guys are cute in their own ways which i will not elaborate as
it will cause my cheeks to turn beetroot red. Pui! Hahahaha
Other than that Mimi always likes to make fun of me and calls me fatty and Doraemon.
So in return irritate the shit out of him. All out of pure cheekiness,
not because i hate him or anything like that. (PLEASE READ THIS HOR)
Adam is always so nice and rarely complains/swears or anything like that.
Never opens up too because maybe he doesn't feel that comfortable confiding
in a stranger like me. LOL. How would I know? Also, we don't talk much now.
*cricket, cricket*

The biggest difference? Syahmi is never satisfied about his life.
He complains about how life could've been easier. He sighs everytime he talks to me.
Not sure whether I'm a bore or what.
Adam, in the other hand is thankful and is pretty satisfied with the things he has.
He's not materialistic. Settles with whatever he has and he puts his little sister
above everything he has. Cute huh?
Really a breath of fresh air. At this point in time, i realise,
most human beings are like Syahmi. Never ever satisfied with our lives.

Maybe the truth is, being contented with your own life is an art.
Its something you'll grow to appreciate and embrace. Maybe its because as human beings,
we are NEVER contented. Good, better, best. That's how we rate things.
We tend to compare ourselves with the people we see around us.
In our eyes, what we have, who we are is NEVER ENOUGH.
That feeling sucks. Sucks badly to know you can't get the better of things in life.

You know, like how people can wake up and stand in front of the
mirror every single day, just being satisfied with what's in the mirror.
Sure, I do look at myself in the mirror.

Its perfectly normal to have thoughts like,
"What if i lost this double chins?"
"What if i go for a plastic surgery and reconstruct my nose?".

But if i KEEP repeating those questions, then it would just bring me down.
What kind of nonsense is that? Never ever let yourself down by doing that.
If you're not confident of yourself, how then do you deal with mean comments from strangers??
From strangers who judge you from your first look?
From strangers who judge you just by the way you behave?

If you keep questioning yourself/God on why your life
wouldn't be easier when would you be happy with what you have?
Don't tell me you are going to live your life being depressed everytime?

Sure, you mustn't be TOO contented with what you have or else
you'll never achieve much and will always be someone mediocre.
But know your boundaries. Know what you are capable of doing.
If you know you can stretch your potential, do it.
But if you keep complaining, why not reflect on those people
who do not have the same capabilities as you.
Be thankful for what you have and be happy.

I've always believed in this. You are your own BIGGEST critic.
Its time we accept things the way things are try not to complicate things anymore.

 Keyword: TRY.

Parents should stop thinking that internet is all bad.
Sure, Internet is bad but its not all bad.
Doesn't mean that since you saw your child playing games on the net,
it doesn't mean she spends ALL her time playing games.
I read the news on the net. I write and voice out my opinion.
What's so bad about that?
Stop being so shallow will you?
Internet is not all bad. It has is good points too.

Why do you parents always have to think badly of your children?
Can't you have some faith in us?
Just for once?

The list of shit

We all have exboyfriends, haven't we?
Don't you ever wish that they'd just disappear,
cos this not only will make us feel happier, we won't even be reminded of
these worthless creatures and what we used to share?

Life would be so much peaceful if they disappeared.

Am I being too mean?
Its the truth lah seriously.

Look at what I found on the net?
Photobucket

Which category does your exboyfriend fall under?
Mine would go under.... a great guy but it just didn't work out.
OMG I just made myself sound like a bitter exgf who isn't able to get
over her exbf. But it's the truth. He's a great guy but just abit weird in
so many ways. Hahaha. Oh the times.....

Photobucket

I'm glad I'm not the only woman who stalks her exes.
Cos I see so many women doing the exact same thing.
Why are we so busybody ah?
Beats me.

Photobucket

Oh Hi everybody. I'm Sarah.
LOL.

And btw, if you're ever stuck with any shit that your exbf has given you,
and you don't want to give it back to him,
you can always sell the stuff at http://www.exboyfriendjewelry.com/

Photobucket

Hehehe. Here, you can find all the bitter exgfs just like yourself,
who are trying to get rid of the stuff exbf left them with.
Why be nice and give back the stuff?
I'd rather sell it, and heh earn some MOOLAHS.
And I KNOW I AM NOT ALONE ON THIS ISSUE.

The world is so small, no kidding!

Sunday, March 28, 2010 / ,

MynameisQUE;

Photobucket

I bet I am NOT alone on this.
Have you ever asked yourself why the fuck is the world so small?
Why do you people know the people I know?

Like .... My exboyfriend knows my mother. My mother knows your father.
Your father knows my aunty. My aunty knows your grandmother.
Your grandmother knows your ex girlfriend.
Your exgirlfriend knows me.
And I know you.

I just made up that whole paragraph,
but you get my point don't you?

I hate the fact that we keep bumping into people we know.
Where's the privacy that I need?
And the fact that people are very judgemental by nature,
IS NOT HELPING EITHER.

I believe I'm the the only one feeling frustrated here?

Well, this group on Facebook definitely cheered me up!

HEHEHEHE Want to see something?

On my laptop, even rynaQUE is a real world.
And it will automatically change the 'Que' to caps.
HEHEHE. Am I awesome or what? :P

"That girl must have insecurity issues if she wants to
start an argument with her bf's ex-girlfriend.
That's just crazy. Past is past and if she loves him then she has to accept that you're a part of his history without causing drama for everyone."

I may be childish but at least I dont around sending threatening texts to my bf's exgf. OWNED. ♥

I don't understand why people are overly sensitive about what I write.
Be it on Twitter/Blog/wherever else I choose to blogbitch at.
Its really irritating when people choose to hand over your personal mobile phone
number to another person. Thats your mistake.
And come on, Twitter is a place I rant.
Its not like I mentioned your name, saying this and that about you.
And just because you got featured as a student dj for the night,
you wanna talk about achievements with me?
Come on. What achievements do you really have?
You started the talk about achievements, didn't you?
Not me.

Look at the message the stranger sent me.

"Ehy , ppn ! Kau takya nk kutok aku semcm ehy .
Ku peh psl ah nk jadi DJ ke ape ke .
Tk sshkan mak bapak kau pe .
Skali lagi ky dpt tahu kau bikin buat tahi ,
jgn pikir aky nk diam ehy . "

Firstly, no introduction. My dear readers,
that's exactly what she sent. Nothing has been edited.
AT ALL. Not even the punctuation marks.
I really hate receiving this kind of text messages.
Bukan nak cakap ape ah, tapi mak oi,
pemalas sangat ke nak type betul-betul?

Basically because I don't like to decipher this kind of messages.
Took me so long to read this thing.
Its not even typed in proper malay!
That is why I said, the way she texted me really reflected
her level of education.
THAT IS MY HONEST OPINION.
Well, but no. She couldn't accept what I said.
BOOHOO!
Somehow, word got passed to the ex and guess what?
He asked me if i said that she had no education?
My words got totally twisted!

And wasn't she threatening me?
Like the next time i said sth bad about her,
she's gonna do something to me.
What are you gonna do? Kill me?
HAHAHAHA.

Of course lah, BF CONFIRM SIDE GF WHAT.
What's new?

Then he said that I have a mindset of a child.
Well, you were once in love with this childish girl too, weren't you? HAH!
If not enough he said to me, "Just be a Bitch for the rest of ur life!"

I may be childish but at least I dont around sending threatening texts to my bf's exgf.
OWNED. ♥

So who's the childish one here?

You no speak English? No?

Thursday, March 18, 2010 / , ,

MynameisQUE;

Photobucket

Soon, MOE will focus on two key areas:
improving the quality of teachers and
enriching the English language environment in schools.

This is because its really obvious that many Singaporeans can't speak
English well. Oh come on, don't have to look so far, our former beauty queen
Miss Ris Low is an example. If thats not enough, surf the web and read those blogs
online by our other Singaporean bloggers. Most can't even differentiate certain words,
don't even know how to use present or past tense correctly.

Even the cashiers in 7 11 and shops like NTUC and others
can't speak in proper English.
Once, I was paying for something in 7 11 and the aunty couldn't even
tell me that she doesn't have small change.
She had to speak in Chinese to some girl behind me
and that girl had to translate whatever she was told in English for me.
What bullshit?

There's no point if MOE tries to change this and that unless
parents also help to make their child realise that English is very important nowadays.
I mean, we all know that everything starts from the home.
Our parents are our rolemodels and if one has parents who speak
more in their mother tongue, their more likely to have children who
grow up to be weak in English.

In order to increase our language competency,
maybe perhaps we should encourage parents to speak more in English
with their children. But.
What if one's parents do not know how to speak in English at all?

Then, THAT, is a big problem.

"You are like chipsmore"

Monday, March 8, 2010 / , ,

MynameisQUE;

Do you ever have friends who are ignore you when they are happy,
and look for you when they feel bored/lonely/have no one to talk to/ have problems?

Well, I call this kind of friends, "Chips More".

Photobucket

Truthfully, I don't know how that term was coined.
I guess, people I knew were using it and I started too.

Chips More behaviour refers to
"sometimes here, sometimes disappear" kind of behaviour.
Some friends think that calling you up at 6
in the morning when you are sleeping is 'acceptable'.
Some, when you text them, blatantly ignore your texts,
with the excuse, "I don't know how to reply".

Some friends think that they're Chips More behaviour is okay,
but too me, its irritating and intolerable.
I mean, come on, a text is only 5 cents,
can't you even spare that for me?

Being "busy" is no excuse. I mean like seriously,
everybody's busy too. What makes you think you're any different?
And, with technology now, talking to me is as simple as
as text message, instant message, or even on Facebook?

'A friend in need, is a friend indeed'
Are you that friend?

Or are you JUST a fair weather friend?

Stupid shows that we watch over and over again.

Monday, March 1, 2010 /

MynameisQUE;

Photobucket

I don’t know why we girls grow up watching Disney movies and their princesses.
Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Sleeping beauty and the list goes on and on.
We all know that’s not the truth. None of us are and will ever be princesses,
except for those lucky bitches who were born royalty.

When I grow up, I don’t think I’ll let my daughter watch all those shows.
Those shows portray mere lies, making us think that we’re princesses too?
What nonsense. If that’s not enough, shops like Toys R Us are making money
by selling princess dresses, crowns, slippers for young girls.

Heh, I was one of those kids who begged my mum to buy for me a princess crown,
and after some time I realised that it’s a fake crown and I’m no princess anyway.
Stupid but true.

Photobucket

On MTV, we watch the show My Super Sweet Sixteen from America.
Rich girls flaunt their jewellery and assets while we Asian girls watch in envy.
Their parents would do anything to make their daughters happy,
even if it means throwing a whole lot of money just for their daughter’s sweet sixteen.

What’s so glam about turning sixteen?

Well for Asian girls like us, i don’t think it’s much of a big deal.
We can watch NC 16 movies and have sex.

(The legal age for sex is sixteen right? I’m not sure either.)

But for those American girls, turning sixteen is a mfcking big deal!
They’ll want a nice bling bling dress, a famous singer/band to play at their party,
a unique theme so that people remember their party and to top that off,
a birthday gift from their parents eg. a brand new car.
This show is really shallow but we watch it anyway. Why?

Because this show attracts people like us who would envy those
girls and wish that we could be in their position.

Do you realise that we are being influenced by the west?
Or has it become a norm that we don’t know that we’ve been influenced?

Foreigners = No hygiene

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 / ,

MynameisQUE;

Did you read the papers last Friday?

Did you know that according to the National Environmental Agency,
individuals caught peeing in public places increased 24 times
last year as compared to 2007!

Feel free to compare the number of foreigners working in Singapore
compared to the number of locals working here.
Photobucket

DID YOU KNOW THAT 89%/2095 OF THEM WHO WERE CAUGHT SHAMELESSLY PEEING IN PUBLIC PLACES ARE FOREIGN WORKERS?

However. the NEA, (National Environmental Agency) refused
to give detailed information about the citizenship of these guilty foreign workers.

Wtf. You people are sick.
This is Singapore, and we're trying to keep our country
as clean and green as possible.
We are allowing them to come and work in our country
and they're pissing on it!
So unappreciative!

Where's your personal hygiene man?
You want to pee all over the place, do it in your own country.
Dammit!

Yes, you contribute to our economy.
Thank you very much.
But still that doesn't make up for dirtying our land.
And why does NEA have to defend them
by not revealing the nationalities of these foreign workers?

You know what Singapore needs?
Maybe we need Urine ads all around Singapore
to remind these people not to pee in public places.
I found this on the net, I don't know which country its from.
Apparently, Nicshields told me those photos were taken in Stockholm, Sweden.
Cool shit!

Photobucket

Thanks

And lastly, this has nothing to do with the foreigners peeing in public, but I'd like to share this with you *winks*

MAGIC CONE URINATING FUNNEL!

Photobucket

This product is being sold by Rightech Co. whatever company that is. Well, basically its for females who likes to pee while standing up!
HEEHEE Well at least I think it is :P

Visit
for more information!
This is definitely for girls who keep leaking and spilling their pee
on the toilet bowl seats!
MAJOR EWWWWWW.

Well, that's all folks.
Remember to pee at the right places!
Or.... you might be fined $150 if you're caught peeing in public!

Ramblings made public

Thursday, February 11, 2010 / ,

MynameisQUE;

Just a question, what places do you deem as 'peaceful'?
A place where you can think, ponder about things,
do your own businesses,
without having anyone poking their noses.

I think on my bed, on the beach and one other special place.

Maybe I'm just weird, or perhaps eccentric.
I don't know.
But at least, I know that I don't lie about who I am.
When I was pondering, I began to think about who I am.
What's my purpose in life?
Who am I?
How is my future gonna be like?

All these are questions that I'll never be able to answer.
At least, not at this point of time.
Everyday, I learn something new about myself.
One day, I want to contribute back to the society.
I don't know how I'm going to get there, but I sure will.

And another thing I realised,
I think we are all insecure brats, no matter who we are or how you look like.
If you are secure and confident about yourself,
you would leave your house without looking in the mirror.
You wouldn't even go shopping with the intention of making yourself looking good.
If we are secure people, we wouldn't be hypocrites.
We would be ourselves, stop all pretense and be who we are.
There'll be no reason to make yourself look good.
Absolute no reason to make a good impression of yourself.
There would be no reason to lie.

To make us more 'secure', we depend on other people.
Some people depend on praises. Some practically live on praises.
You know, those girls who keep on saying that they're ugly/fat when they really are not?
Those are the bitches who live on praises.
Okay, maybe not all.
But that doesn't change the fact that some people live on achievements and whatnots.

So the next time anyone says that you are someone insecure,
tell them to look at themselves in the mirror.

"And you, of course. Everyone an individual.
Everyone special. Everyone taking a different path through life.
It's 2010. The world is a different place.
What path have you taken?"

By the way, the level of insecurity varies from person to person.
I think I'm alright.
I'm not the kind that wears make up everyday,
stares at the mirror 24/7 or the kind that depends on praises.
I am who I am.

Most importantly, I am not you.

Btw, I did this pondering in the toilet, when I was doing my business.
HAHAHAHAHAHA

Train ride to Dover

Saturday, January 16, 2010 /

MynameisQUE;

I like observing people wherever I am.
This post would be about the people I've noticed in the train.
Something to laugh at, I guess.
Don't take it the wrong way,
I don't mean to be mean.

Enjoy. :)

Photobucket

This man was on the train with another 4 of his friends.
They were talking, singing and laughing in the train loudly as if they were the only ones on the train.
They were obviously drunk, not really conscious at that point of time,
and I COULD SMELL VOMIT!
Mad gross. Their clothes seemed super dirty too!

When I entered the train, I saw this woman.

Photobucket

It amazes me that she can really take up too seats.
Really interesting right?
Even a plus sized girl like me doesn't takes up TWO freaking seats!
And at the next stop, she moved to the left.

Photobucket

She could have been in THAT position cos maybe her body moved or something.
WHO KNOWS RIGHT?
LOLABLE.
Look at the way this man is sitting!
AND WHY ISN'T HIS SHIRT BUTTONED!

Photobucket

His hands are covering his crotch.
Weird but true.

I covered the faces of everyone cos I think it's just not right of me
to put photos of this people on my blog.
I guess, I felt pretty bad after that.
Like I told Stephen, I really have a soft spot for old people,
I guess that's why.

New Year Resolution

Friday, January 15, 2010 / , ,

MynameisQUE;

Everybody has actually made up their
New Year resolutions, but not me.
Oh god, I feel like a LOSER.

I want realistic resolutions & i hope that i can achieve this.
Hopefully! :D

Photobucket

Why am I saving up? Because I want a new blog design and it'll cost a BOMB!

Photobucket

As many of you might know, Ripplewerkz has designed for
a few famous bloggers and celebrities. I really want this,
but I'm STILL contemplating on getting this.
Cos obviously, I'm still schooling and I shouldn't be spending my
whole savings on my blog design!
But, who cares! I WANT IT.
(PLUS i might get a discount! :P)

Next.

Photobucket

I don't want anybody to mistake my handwriting for a guy's handwriting!
Oh man!

Photobucket

Not that I haven't been feeling happy,
BUT I WANT TO WORRY LESS.
My exbf said I worry alot and too much thinking is not good for me. :(

Photobucket

I want to stop expecting things to happen,
stop assuming, and also to stop thinking that fairytales truly exist. Please make me more DOWN TO EARTH.

Photobucket

For many of you who don't know,
I LOVE BEACHES.
I go there to scream, and think about the past.
Too bad boys nowadays don't like the beach.
I like blowing bubbles, playing with the sand and screaming at the top of my lungs.
Simply therapeutic.

Photobucket

YES YES YES. I have people telling me to blog more often. I WILL MAKE THE EFFORT TO BLOG OFTEN.
Thank you for reading and please come again! :D

All photos were taken from Google. The one taken on the beach is by an awesome photographer named Aim. :)

Proud to be Malay

Sunday, December 13, 2009 / , ,

MynameisQUE;

Last week, on the 7th december 2009, I commemorated my own
"I'm proud to be a Malay" Day.

Photobucket

I wore my Malay traditional costume to school,
yes, all the way to Dover.

I'm sick and tired of hearing people say,
"I'm embarassed to be a Malay".

I'm really sick of it.

If you're a Malay and all you can do is to be
embarassed of your own race, you should kick yourself in the balls.
If there's Malay blood in you, and your IC states that you're a Malay,
you jolly well accept the fact that you're a Malay.

People look down on us, they say we Malays are stupid.

People say, we won't succeed.

SO IF YOU'RE SO EMBARASSED,
then prove it to everyone that they are wrong.
No point being embarassed, cos no matter how much you feel ashamed,
it won't change the fact that you're a Malay boy/girl.

& that day, there was a Malaysian guy on twitter
who was asking why I only tweet in English and not Malay.
He said something like I was "speaking omputeh",
which means, I speak in English.

Photobucket

Oh please, doesn't mean if I always tweet in English means that
I do not know how to communicate in Malay.
I LOVE OUR MALAY LANGUAGE.

Its a beautiful languange and I bet most of you will agree that
it's one of the easiest subjects to pass in primary and sec school.
Even the government encourages us to be bilingual.

I was looking around facebook and I found this photo of a friend.

I bet you can sense how proud she is to don the silat uniform.
Photobucket

We should follow her example.
We Malays should stop looking down on each other.
Its time to work together, show everyone else that we too can succeed.
Show them that we are proud to be Malays.

If you are proud to be a Malay, why not wear our traditional costume for a day?
After that, take photos of yourself and blog about how you feel.
Or, maybe simply blog about how you feel to me a Malay.
And after that, send me your permalink via email @
rynaque@gmail.com

I'll gladly feature you in my blog :). ♥

But if you choose not to heed my advice,
and still continue to be embarassed,
I can only say one thing,
the phrase "Takkan Melayu hilang di dunia" by Hang Tuah,
just won't be valid anymore if this keeps up.

Thanks to Syafinah for allowing me to use her photo.

Enjoy this video!

A happy journey starts like that;

I'm sure you know about the PRIORITY SEATS
But how many of us abide to this so called, "rule"?

Photobucket

SO HOW MANY OF US REALLY GIVE UP OUR SEATS
TO PEOPLE WHO ARE OLD, HAVE CHILDREN AND
WOMEN WHO ARE PREGNANT?

Definitely NOT ME.
Here's my reason why.

Imagine waking up at 5 for an 8 am class.
Not only that, residing in the east, and having school in the west.
That is what i go through on some days.
From Tampines, I'll take the train to Pasir Ris and
bounce all the way to Dover *boing boing*
& the journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
So, I'll just spend the rest of my time....
Yes. Sleeping.

Who wants to sit at the seats with NO side rest?
I mean the glass panels which you can lean on.
Certainly,NOT ME.

I'm sure you too are guilty of seating at the prority seats
AS MUCH AS I AM.
Come on, the prioity seats are soooo comfortable.
You can rest your head at the glass panels!
Everytime i seat at the normal seats and fall asleep,
I'll end up tilting my body to the person beside,
and making myself embarassed!!!!!!

But guess what?
Soulja Boy told me about the time he actually
told some guy off for pretending to sleep
so that he can ignore the old woman in front of him who
needs the seat more than him.
Wow. I was shocked.
In fact, amazed at how righteous he is.
Like who in the right mind would bother to tell someone off
JUST BECAUSE OF A PRIORITY SEAT.
I would, but because i was guilty too.....
Maybe not. :P heeheee!

And guess what?
A day after that conversation, he inspired me to give up my seat to this old man.
You know how proud I was of myself?
You knowww?!!!!
:D I felt so good!
Not only me, remember Maressa?
The one on the first few episodes of Singapore Idol
who was eliminated and was rooting her good friend Jannah.
She also felt the satisfaction that i felt!
Photobucket

& I found out that Singapore is one of the
LEAST POLITE COUTRIES IN THE WORLD!
So Soulja Boy, you said you were amazed that Singapore is ranked as
one of the most COURTEOUS countries in the world,
YOU WERE WRONG!
*Nannynannypootpoot!*
Photobucket

No wonder our government has to come up
with such campaigns and mascots like
the COURTESY CAMPAIGNS AND THE COURTESY LION!
Photobucket

The aim of the Campaign was to create a pleasant social environment with Singaporeans considerate to each other and thoughtful of each other's needs
Now, as we ALL know, we have our favourite contractor
who has since "moved" to Malaysia,
as our 'mascot' on public transports to remind us
that we should give up our seat to those who need it more.

Here's Rosy with her signature HAIRDO.
Sidetrack abit, since AMK has a problem with minahs with
"high rised" kenings, why not make anti rambut tinggi or sth?
Okay, you may ignore me.
phua chu kang priority seat in trains and buses Pictures, Images and Photos

Here's PCK with his signature yellow boots!
Photobucket

To end it off, here's our favourite shakebutt video!
A HAPPY JOURNEY STARTS LIKE THAT!

All I'm trying to say is that we Singaporeans should
learn how to be more selfless and less selfish.
The satisfaction that you'll feel after that, I promise you,
IS PRICELESS!
