Dyna Argan Oil Hair treatment by Mucota!

Saturday, March 31, 2012 / , , , , , , ,

MynameisQUE;

A few weeks ago, I was invited to an event by Prime Group Asia, the exclusive distributor of Mucota products. They were launching their new Dyna hair treatment. It's main ingredient for this hair treatment is Argan Oil and it can be used on different hair types such as dry, dull and damaged hair. The event attendees were mostly hair stylists. I even saw my hairstylist from Bonafides!

Before that, let me tell you more about Argan oil. I did my research and it is said to be one of the world's most expensive oils which is good for anti-aging and protection (from heat and harmful rays of the sun). Also, for those with dyed hair this oil is keep your colour more long lasting and it'll prevent your hair from being dry.

2 masters from Japans were invited to give a demo on how to use DYNA The models were also bloggers, Kiyomi and Jasmine. You've probably heard about them. Both of them have damaged hair basically due to dying of hair so that day, so DYNA HAIR TREATMENT TO THE RESCUE! :)

Jasmine on the other hand used the Dyna perm to curl her hair. All this, without an iron curler and heat. It was really interesting for me. I received a sample pack of the products and god, did I tell you that the hair treatment cream smells like peach? Really sweet smelling! I love it. :>

If you're looking at hair treatment, you'll probably wanna check out salons using the DYNA hair treatment.
Thank you Wendy for the invite!

Do you really want "SNOW" on your head?

So... In December, we had the Christmas season... You get to see pretty lights everywhere...

And also, lots of SNOW.

Kidding.

That's not snow.... It's DANDRUFF.

Can you see that white stuff on my brother's head? It's not that obvious in the photo but I promise you, it's extremely obvious in real life especially when you wear a black top!

Want a more obvious picture?

Back in primary and secondary school, I used to have very bad dandruff. SO BAD that my scalp bled rather frequently. It's a gross sight, I swear. I felt really shitty everytime someone tells me,
"Eh, there's some white thing in your hair!".

Especially because I'm one of the shortest in class, that also meant that my dandruff was the most obvious and visible to EVERYBODY. Thing is for me, it's my habit to shampoo my hair every morning. So after I bathe, I'll have to go to school and I normally do not have the time to towel dry my hair before tying it up. Especially since in primary school and secondary school, we girls are not allowed to let down our hair, so I had no choice but to tie my hair eventhough it was wet. Now, because I'm in poly, I normally let my hair down and I'll normally just bun it up when it's dry. :)

For me, I do not bathe with warm water. Cold water lessens scalp irritation as compared to cold water. Also, you should NEVER sleep with your hair wet. When you're conditioning your hair, make sure the conditioner doesn't drop onto your scalp. Shampoo is mainly meant for your scalp. That is why, even if you're bald, you SHOULD shampoo your head. Botaks, please take note. Conditioner is more for hair care. Also, dandruff develops when you don't wash your shampoo off your head properly. If you've been feeling stressed and have not been sleeping well you might also develop sudden dandruff. If you don't do all these and yet STILL have dandruff, then maybe.... You haven't been bathing enough. Please bathe and shampoo your hair!!  :)

And if you have dandruff please don't use ANY KIND of shampoo. There are SPECIAL shampoos for dandruff like...

Clear anti dandruff shampoo!

(Left, for men and right, for women. :)

What Clear does?

•Builds the scalp’s natural defence to fight against dandruff-‐causing factors
•Penetrates three layers deep into the scalp to repair the scalp’s natural barrier
•Eliminates and clears dandruff from the scalp surface

I tried these 2 versions and I personally love the Ice Cool Menthol version. After massaging your scalp with this shampoo, it really feels shiok! :)

Women’s shampoos:
$9.40 for 350ml,
$14.30 for 700ml

I also tried the men's version on my brother. He has ALOT of dandruff, it's gross.

Men’s shampoos:
$10.30 for 350ml,
$15.70 for 700ml

And he too prefers the menthol version because of the shiok feeling after that. It's minty and it really feels therapeutic! You'll feel really fresh after that. No kidding.

For me there was improvement and I had less dandruff in the span of a week, however for my brother, his dandruff didn't really improve much. I guess this product works differently for diferent people. Nevertheless,
I would still recommend this product to you if you're having any dandruff! :)

Clear can be found at most major supermakets.

Girls and their hairy obsession

MynameisQUE;
(Not paid to share this)

Recently, my bestfriend and I went back to BONAFIDES to do hair treatment. I blogged about my experience at the parlour recently, but that time I went for a massage.

This time, it was hair treatment. The kind PR people from Bonafides gave me a discount which was too difficult to resist! In the end, my bff signed up for the hair treatment package because we both thought that it would be good to pamper our hair every once a month. :)

The treatment we did is called the Nano Treatment, which is specially imported from Japan. Basically, it's a 3 step treatment. If you're interested, feel free to drop them a line!

There was definitely a difference in my hair after the treatment! My hair stylist also trimmed my hair. :)

I had a good time.
Thank you Bonafides and see you soon!

Like teddy bear cute right? My niece fell asleep on my tummy yesterday. I'm not only cute, but my fats are very comfy to rest on too. HAHAHAHAHA

HAIRDO 1

To be honest, it's EXTREMELY HOT with bangs. I used to have bangs when I was a small kid just like the other girls, but ever since I grew up I've never had bangs. Err.... My exbf said it makes me look rounder. HAHAHAHAHA (Don't ask me why we are still in contact. It's extremely complicated.) I think it gives anyone the act cute and decent look.

HOW? Rounder than usual? :P

Okay fine, I'm lying to you. These are actually fake bangs.
It's a WIG. :P

Product I used to achieve this Hairdo:

HAIRDO 2

Product I used to achieve this hairdo:
Braided Hairband

It's actually a hair band! Best part is that you don't have to go through all the hassle of tying your hair etc. All you have to do is put it on and you'll look extremely girly. ;)
Price: $3.90

To be honest when I found out it's only $3.90, I told myself it's a MUST BUY!

Check out this braid hairband by my friend Kasturi. Hers is made of her own hair.
She has EXTREMELY LONG HAIR!!

HAIRDO 3

Check out my ultra cool hairbow. This photo was taken during a food tasting session I was invited to at Manhattan Fish Market. Will share with you guys soon!! :P

See..... You don't have to be lady gaga to have this okay? How cool is that?

Product I used to achieve this Hairdo:

Yes, a hairband. They actually have a clip version of this but I wanted a hairband cus I felt it'll be more "steady".

Product I used to achieve this Hairdo:
Lady Gaga Ribbon Hairband
Price: $3.90

YES I KNOW RIGHT. They're having a sale now for this item. That's why it's so cheap!!

HAIRDO 4

Look at that bump on my head. It gives me the nostalgia look. I like how it is!

Product I used to achieve this Hairdo:
Bumpit Hair Updo

I think this item is sold out! Haha, err....

Price: $4.99 ONLY

It's actually sponge with velcro on top. I like how it camouflages in my hair. I've tried the other plastic "crescent" moon like bumpits and I really prefer this. FUSS FREE TOO!

HAIRDO 5 (FAIL)

Err... Actually I wanted to make a bun with this thing. I know how to make a bun with my hair but after watching this Tried and Tested Clicknetwork video, I wanted to try using this because the bun that they did is super neat!

However, it was a failed attempt. Here are photos of Kasturi trying to make the bun.

This is a failed bun.

Product I used to achieve this Hairdo:
Magic Hair Bun Sponge

Price: $3 ONLY

Okay if you wanna see how the bun is supposed to be done, watch this video!

Actually I also bought another product but I didn't take a photo of it. Here's a photo I grabbed from Girlhairdo.com Yes, it was also featured in the video I shared above. I like how it's really IDIOT PROOF and pretty! :)

You can choose to buy the products online or visit their shop at the 2nd level of Peninsula plaza (City Hall).  I chose to head down to the shop rather than buying online because I wanted to take a look at the items before buying them. Also, it's my first time buying such stuff leh. So I was quite excited!! You're not supposed to take photo of the shop inside so I took a photo from the outside.

Here's a photo of Grace with me. It was an extremely pleasant experience because Grace and her helpers were very polite and friendly.

You know what her helper said to me?

"You're very cute leh. Your friends got tell you that you are cute or not?"
"Errr.... *Awkward* No....."
"You very cute!".

Haha I only smiled shyly and said thank you. CUTE LEH SHE SAID I'M CUTE!!!!
HEHEHE Totally made my day. ;)

Okay fine. The bangs DO make me look ROUNDER. FML.

Actually I also bought this thing that will automatically give me a nice bun but I haven't tried it out :)

In total I spent like $60 plus. Seems like alot but I feel it's extremely worth it. I'll probably go back to visit the shop soon because I want Grace to teach me how to use my magic hair bun sponge and I'll probably buy more hairbands from them. I really hope you like this post!!

Get your ha irstuff at Girlhairdo.com ok? :)

To my Muslim readers, Selamat Hari Raya Haji. <3
