Well anyway, I remember the first time I went to Manhattan Fish Market was years ago in KL, Malaysia. I think at that time, the MFM franchise was not in Singapore yet. Seafood was served in a frying pan and I had a great time or else I wouldn't have been able to recall it now. I guess my second time was some time this year with my secondary school friends when they were having the $3.99 Fish and Chips promotion which I blogged about
HERE. We went to the Whitesands branch of MFM. :)
I think I didn't take much photos because I was busy catching up with my girls. Haven't met up with them since the last meeting. :(
Well, a few weeks ago I was lucky to be invited to a tasting session at Manhattan Fish Market, Plaza Singapura. Did you know that the one at Plaza Singapura was the FIRST branch of MFM in Singapore?
It was also the reopening of the branch because the restaurant had to undergo renovation.
This time they have they have a new open kitchen concept which gives patrons a multi sensory experience! I managed to get the chefs to stop cooking and pose for my camera. Teehee!
Anyway for those of you who don't eat much, Manhattan now has lighter meal options. Let's say you're on a diet and your friends are planning to go to Manhattan Fish Market, you can now choose the LIGHT version. Or it could also be because you wanna have lunch but not eat so much cus you don't wanna feel sleepy at work, I think this is a good alternative! Only avaliable on weekdays from 11am to 5pm.

This is a drink called
Citrus Mint.
If you wanna try something new and refreshing then perhaps you should try this. For me this isn't exactly the kind of drink I would go for because I'm more of a plain water person. (What? I look like the kind that goes for sweet drinks?! No way.) Haha I'm not kidding actually I prefer plain water most of the time. ;)
Kicking Shrimps
This is my favourite! It's super delicious. Abit spicy and the shell has been peeled off for you. Perfect for lazy girls like me who don't want to dirty our fingers. Will definitely have this again! This is a new addition to the menu. LOVE IT.

Grilled catch of the day.
Mediterranean Baked Fish
This is actually Halibut. When I heard the name of the fish, I was like WHUT? I think it's my first time trying such a fish. Grilled to perfection and served with garlic herv rice and some vege on the side.
If you're looking for something healthy, not deep fried this is definitely a good catch. (Watch that pun! HAHAHAHAHAHA) I'm more of a deep fried lover so this isn't something I would order but I can imagine my mum ordering this. This smells really good btw! :)

Garlic Herb Mussels
A chef recommendation, these mussels are poached in garlic herb sauce. Also served with baguette slices for dipping. I think my little bro would like this!

Caesar salad with Chrispy Whitebait
I've never tried whitebait actually so this is my first time. According to Valentine, it's like a more atas version of ikan bilis! Hahahaha! Love it! I think my mum would love this. :)

Clam Chowder
POW!!
That was my reaction when I tasted their Clam Chowder. I think it's the best Clam Chowder so far beating the ones I've tried at Long John, Fish and Co (Express) and also Swensens. Creamy and has alot of Clams inside. Okay, maybe not alot but definitely more than the ones I've tasted at the places I've listen above.

MY GOD THIS IS HEAVEN.
Deep fried fillet, Fried Calamari, oysters and their signature flaming prawns served on garlic herb rice.
This is actually meant for 2 people but I think it'll be okay for perhaps 3 or 4 people? It's really ALOT. Super worth it!! *Dies*

Manhattan Flaming Prawns
If you're more of a prawn lover, then this is for you! If you want variety then you should choose the seafood platter.
THE PRAWNS ARE MARVELOUS.
I'm not much of a prawn lover but this is exceptionally good, not gonna lie.
Tiger prawns served with fries.

Corn Salad
They also have Cheese Fries and Fruit salad. I'm not exactly a salad person so I'll probably try the cheese fries next time I head to Manhattan Fish Market. Carbo, Carbo I know....

Manhattan Mud Pie
It's actually abit hard but very chocolatey. Given the size, I think the price is abit steep for $4.50. Maybe Manhattan would like to perhaps think of increasing the size of the serving. Very delicious though!

Tuscan Tiramisu
Made with coffee and cream cheese, this will be something my bestfriend would enjoy! Do you know that this is homemade? I was very impressed!!
Anyway, I brought Valentine along for this event. Thank you for accompanying me to Daiso after that. Thank you IMSG and Manhattan Fish Market for the invite! I would definitely visit Manhattan again.
Damn. Now I'm hungryyyy. :(
