Making A Difference starts with ME! #TweetMeetSG 2011 =)

MynameisQUE;

I think most of you have seen me Tweeting/mentioning about GoMAD on my Twitter, Facebook and I even embedded the FB page on the right hand side of this blog. Well, this is part of my Final Year Project. GoMAD is an initiative by the school to encourage students to step out and do something to Make A Difference. Basically, it's an umbrella brand for other current and upcoming initiatives. My group, came up with an Intergrated Marketing Plan campaign to raise awareness and spark interest among Singapore Polytechnic students.

<<Psst, if you haven't LIKED our FB page, what are you waiting for? ;)

In the midst of the executing the project, I received an invite from Kris to be part of this year's TweetMeetSG to help the PWDs (People with Disabilities) set up their social presences like Twitter and Facebook and even teach them to use it. Sounds like a great idea to me! They say Making A Difference starts with ME! Am I right? How can you encourage students to do something that you, yourself don't practice? :)

There were about 10 bloggers involved in TweetmeetSG that day. Our job was simple! Help the PWDs set up Skype, Facebook and Twitter and at the same time update our social networking accounts with live tweets. (<-- Definitely what we bloggers do BEST! Hehehe)

So here goes...

N.E.mation! Voting starts now!

MynameisQUE;

Heard about N.E.mation!5 before?
Then read this post first! *Click here*

A total of 10 teams have made it to the finals and
IT'S TIME TO CAST YOUR VOTES!

:)
So basically... All you have to do is go to the *N.E.mation! 5 website.*

Btw, did I tell you that all these videos were done by students.
Yes, they entered with ZERO knowledge in animation.

HOW AMAZING IS THAT?!

Then click 3 of your favourite clips!
The circled ones are MY FAVOURITE CLIPS. :)

C4 is by a group of boys from Kent Ridge Secondary.

The characters were SEWN by the boys.

Yes, boys!

A visit to the N.E.Mation! 5 production site at NYP!

MynameisQUE;

I was invited by 24Seven Communications for a visit to the
N.E.Mation! site at Nanyang Polytechnic the other day. :)
Brought my bestfriend along too!

We reached  NYP super early so we decided to chill at Gloria Jeans.
Used this time to catch up, talk about the exboyfriends, the times we had
in secondary school. :)

Then finally, we met the other bloggers.
Here's Joshua giving us the introduction about N.E.Mation!5.

Out of 604 teams, from 84 schools....
Only top 1.65% got selected! :)
Only 10 teams managed to get to this final stage.

I bet all of you are wondering what N.E.Mation! is,
well, it is actually a competition for youths like you and me to express
their thoughts, ideas and feelings on Total Defence through animation!
