Singapore Blog Awards 2013 + My Journey Thus Far

It's my third year attending the Singapore Blog Awards! 

If you don't already know, the Singapore  is the brainchild of omy.sg, Singapore Press Holdings' leading bilingual news and entertainment portal, and was created to honour independent content producers who devote their time and energy to create and maintain informative and innovative blogs. 

Met Chloe from Wasted Fashion for the first time and caught up with Susannah from A Fashionable Leo. 

I'll have to be honest, sometimes I feel jaded. 

I hate how certain PR folks only talk to me when they need something, I hate it when marketers work with writers of crappy blogs, how the society still do not understand the impact of bloggers + their blogs and how people like Xiaxue earn a living by blogging. 

Then, I think about how many people I've met through blogging, how it has opened more doors for me professionally and personally as a blogger and how it has totally changed my life. I know I did the right thing. 

This "blogging thing" will only get better.

This year marks the 5th year for the Singapore Blog Awards. This year, it was held at the Singapore flyer. :)

Singapore Blog Awards: Welcome dinner for international bloggers!

A few weeks ago, I went to Landmark Village Hotel to meet the international bloggers who flew in just to attend the Singapore Blog Awards 2012. 

Didn't really take that much pictures as we were busy mingling and talking. The bloggers were from Malaysia, Philippines and Hongkong. 

We were also given a tour of Landmark Village Hotel. Was pleasantly surprised as I didn't expect their hotel rooms to be really pretty. Also feel that the location of the hotel is really good as it's strategically located near Arab street and the Kampong Glam area. You know what that means! Even the hotel itself exudes the Middle Eastern and Arab street feel. 

One of the rooms I really liked was the Executive Club Suite. Thinking whether I should book a room to celebrate my birthday next month... Hmm.... Suggestions anyone?

Singapore Blog Awards 2011 #SBA2011

Good morning everyone! :)

To be honest, I really like being in Omy. The friends I've made, the events I've been to, I'm thankful to the whole team. Really.
